We were in Miami overnight at the end of December to get a cruise from Port of Miami. The following is a Yelp review I wrote that night about our really nice dinner at Biscayne Tavern in downtown Miami.

We had a really phenomenal dinner tonight that was kind of unexpected. We’re staying in Brickell because our cruise leaves from Port of Miami. We wanted a good meal but nothing fancy. After some sleuthing, I made reservations at Biscayne Tavern. We were NOT disappointed.

The restaurant is modern but very comfortable. Not stuffy at all. We were quickly greeted by the SUPER AMAZING Keven. He is a real pro. He’s like the SWAT of servers. Before you know you need something, Keven has it covered. The food was all amazing. We had their dynamite shrimp, eggplant fries, and homemade chips for starters. I had the reuben (with their special pastrami), Hubby had the pork shank (AWESOME), and the in-laws split fish & chips. For dessert we had their milk & cookies (all cookies made to order) and fried Oreos. Everything was fresh and delicious. I was really impressed that my reuben wasn’t greasy at all. And, of course, Keven was taking amazing care of us throughout the meal. He’s one of those servers you want to take with you.

I would absolutely recommend Biscayne Tavern if you’re in the downtown Miami area. They even have a monthly beer dinner. If we lived down here, we would definitely be regulars.
